Grants

The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith, and Family (GOYFF) distributes state and federal funds annually. Public and private sector organizations that address one or more of the issues identified by GOYFF can apply for these funds. Grants are then awarded through a formal application process.

AmeriCorps Formula Grant

Applications for the AmeriCorps State Formula Grant (RFGA#: RFGA-FOR-GOYFF-080124-00) are now being accepted. Approximately $4 million will be awarded to programs throughout Arizona to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions/practices that extend organizational capacity to address critical community needs in one of six AmeriCorps focus areas: disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and services for veterans and military families. Apply Here!

Arizona Child Abuse Prevention & Advocacy License Plate Grant Program

Applications for the Arizona Child Abuse Prevention and Advocacy License Plate Grant Program (RFGA#: RFGA-LP-GOYFF-070124-00) are now being accepted. Approximately $100,000 will be awarded to programs throughout Arizona to implement child abuse and neglect primary prevention programs and/or for child and family advocacy centers to provide support to victims of child abuse and neglect. Apply Here!

Childcare and Development Funds (CCDF)

Federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Administration for Children and Families (ACF) to provide services that improve and increase the quality and availability of early childhood education/childcare before-and-after school care services.

Children's Justice Act (CJA)

The Children's Justice Act (CJA) grants States to improve the investigation, prosecution, and judicial handling of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation, in a manner that limits additional trauma to the child victim.

Parents Commission on Drug Education & Prevention

Through the Drug Treatment and Education Fund, established by A.R.S. §13-901.02, GOYFF oversees programming that increases and enhances parental involvement and increases education about the severe risks and public health problems caused by the abuse of alcohol and controlled substances.

Partnerships for Success (PFS)

With the implementation of the five-step Strategic Prevention Framework from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), GOYFF has partnered with organizations across the state to provide trauma-informed and culturally competent substance abuse prevention programming that aims to decrease marijuana and underage drinking misuse and abuse by current or former foster youth ages 9-20 and their caregivers.

Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP)

GOYFF distributes grant funding to organizations that provide core services, direct intervention, and related assistance to victims of sexual assault. Approximately $460,000 will be awarded to programs throughout Arizona to provide immediate intervention and related assistance to rural, tribal, or underserved victims of sexual assault.

State Opioid Response (SOR)

The overarching goal of the Arizona State Opioid Response (SOR) project is to increase access to Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) treatment, coordinated and integrated care, recovery support services, and prevention activities to reduce the prevalence of OUD and opioid-related overdose deaths.

STOP Violence Against Women

Administered by the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women, GOYFF distributes funding to organizations that support Victim Services, Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART), Trainings, and Special Projects that focus on violence against women.

Substance Abuse Block Grant (SABG)

Through the Substance Abuse Block Grant (SABG) awarded by the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), organizations develop and implement evidence-based drug prevention programs that provide screening and assessment of behavioral health and substance abuse, opportunities for increased engagement of healthy youth, and drug education for adults and families.

Title II Formula Grant

GOYFF distributes funding to organizations for the implementation of programs that support the core requirements of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act. The Arizona Juvenile Justice Commission has developed top-priority issues identified as significant challenges that youth, families, and professionals face within the juvenile justice system.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Governor's Discretionary Fund

Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the Governor's Discretionary Fund awarded by the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES), GOYFF works with organizations to implement best practices that provide opportunities for Arizonans to access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in desired careers and match employers with the skilled workers necessary to create thriving economic communities across the state.

Grant Reviewer Application

We are seeking volunteers who are interested in serving as grant reviewers. Grant reviewers are responsible for providing constructive feedback and assessment on current and future grant applications submitted to this office. This opportunity provides individuals with invaluable experience in the grant writing process, which can be utilized in various fields in both the private and public sectors. Ultimately, successful applicants will have the chance to help bring resources to the state to enrich the lives of everyday Arizonans.

How to Learn More About and Apply for Grants

The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) uses the Arizona State Procurement Office's ProcureAZ eProcurement system when issuing "Letters of Intent to Issue a Solicitation" for Request for Grant Applications (RFGAs).

If you are interested in receiving an e-mail notification from the ProcureAZ system, it is the sole responsibility of a potential applicant to register in the ProcureAZ system. Applicants should choose the Human Services Commodity Code 952 and select at least two subcategories of service most representative of their organization's activities. ProcureAZ notices regarding GOYFF RFGAs are sent to all the categories under 952.
