MEDIA ADVISORY: Governor Ducey And First Lady To Attend Arizona’s 5th Annual ACEs Summit

PHOENIX Governor Doug Ducey and First Lady Angela Ducey, in partnership with the ACEs Consortium, will launch Arizona’s 5th Annual ACEs Summit tomorrow, Tuesday, December 11 to raise awareness of the importance of treating Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

The day-long summit brings together national, regional and local trauma-informed care experts with community partners from across Arizona to explore best practices to overcome ACEs and support a trauma-informed community.

The morning portion of the summit will be livestreamed and includes welcoming remarks from the governor and Mrs. Ducey, followed by a keynote address from Dr. Bruce Perry, a Senior Fellow of The ChildTrauma Academy.

Mrs. Ducey will moderate the morning panel with Dr. Cara Christ, Director of Arizona Department of Health Services; Dr. Jackie Contreras, Casey Family Programs; Dr. Sara Park, Arizona Department of Child Safety; and Dr. Sara Salek, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System.
