Family Reunification Day

Family Reunification Day honors birth parents who have gone through steps to reunite with their children. Every year, partners across Maricopa County come together to celebrate families who have achieved permanency after overcoming the obstacles that caused their children to be removed from their care and placed in foster care. The majority of children in out-of-home care have a case plan goal of family reunification. Every year thousands of Arizona children are reunified with their families.

The 'Rally to Reunify - 2023 Maricopa County Family Reunification Day Celebration' took place on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Over 75 families and 200+ attendees joined together to recognize the strength, resiliency, and extraordinary efforts of Arizona parents who reunified their families.
