MEDIA ADVISORY: Governor Ducey And Cindy McCain To Deliver Update On Arizona’s Human Trafficking Prevention Efforts

PHOENIXGovernor Doug Ducey will join Cindy McCain to discuss the progress and impact of human trafficking prevention and awareness efforts across Arizona on Thursday, January 17, at the Phoenix Dream Center.

Arizona Department of Homeland Security Director Gil Orrantia, Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family Director Maria Cristina Fuentes, Phoenix Dream Center Executive Director Brian Steele and StreetLightUSA CEO Skye Steele will also be at the press conference. 

Since 2015, the Arizona Human Trafficking Council has led targeted statewide human trafficking prevention and awareness efforts. Under the leadership of Co-chairs Cindy McCain and Director Orrantia, the Council has worked to raise public awareness about victims’ services, develop a victims’ service plan, evaluate statewide human trafficking data, and support greater collaboration among stakeholders. The Council’s 2018 Annual Report was released earlier this month.
