Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP)

The Sexual Assault Services Formula Program (SASP) was created by the Violence Against Women Act of 2005 and is administered by the U.S. Department of Justice. SASP was the first federal funding stream solely dedicated to direct intervention - and related assistance for victims - of sexual assault.

As a SASP recipient, the Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith, and Family (GOYFF) distributes $639,000 in grant funding to provide core services, direct intervention, and related assistance to victims of sexual assault. Services include, but are not limited to: dual programs, which offer both sexual violence and domestic violence intervention services; medical services; criminal justice system support; as well as social support systems.

If you have questions about this program or would like to be connected to grantees who are currently providing prevention and educational programming in your community, please email your name, contact information, location, and requested programming/training to Sandra Mucino, Program Administrator.
