Trauma Informed Substance Abuse Prevention Program Request for Grant Applications Announcement

Applications for the Trauma Informed Substance Abuse Prevention Program grant (RFGA#: SABG-DSG-20-100120-00) are now being accepted. Approximately $3,000,000 will be awarded to programs throughout Arizona to implement trauma-informed, evidence-based/evidence-informed substance abuse prevention programming that is designed to increase protective factors and build resiliency among people of all ages.

The grant, with a maximum annual award of $200,000 per grantee, is renewable for a combined term of 3 years. The grant application will close at 11:59 PM on July 28, 2020. The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) invites grant applications from Arizona entities that include 501(c)(3) Organizations; Local, County-based Substance Abuse Prevention Coalitions; Tribal Nations, Tribal Coalitions and Tribal Communities; Public/Charter Schools/Districts; and State/County/City Government Entities.

Access to the application and solicitation documents requires a free eCivis account. Due to meeting restrictions associated with the outbreak of COVID-19, a non-mandatory pre-application conference will not be held for this RFGA. To ensure that all prospective applicants have access to any important questions that might be asked, GOYFF will develop a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document which will be posted in eCivis during the application preparation process.

About the Trauma Informed Substance Abuse Prevention Program

The Trauma Informed Primary Prevention (TIPP) Program is federally funded through the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG) distributed by the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). The grant is pursuant to the authority of Section 516 of the Public Health Service Act (45 C.F.R. 75.113 and Appendix XII to 45 C.F.R. Part 75) and is subject to the requirements, terms and regulations of this statute.
