Open Grant Application - Apply for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Grant!

Applications for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Grant (RFGA#: GR-WIOA-GOYFF-100123-00) are now being accepted. Approximately $4,000,000 will be awarded to programs throughout Arizona to implement innovative workforce development pilot programs for communities with higher unemployment and poverty rates to support building an Arizona for everyone.

The grant, with a maximum annual award of $500,000 per grantee, is renewable for a combined term of years. The grant application will close at 5:00 PM on July 7, 2023. The Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) invites grant applications from Arizona entities that include 501(c)(3) organizations; Arizona local, county, and state government entities; Arizona Tribal Nations and communities; Arizona public and charter school districts; Arizona institutions of higher learning (universities, community colleges, and trade schools); and any partnership of the above-listed organizations (an Arizona fiscal agent must be designated). The GOYFF encourages programs that serve sub-populations who are at higher risk for experiencing homelessness such as individuals previously or currently in foster care; individuals with disabilities; individuals previously or currently experiencing housing instability; domestic violence survivors; individuals previously or currently involved in the criminal justice system; and other at-risk populations, including veterans.

About the WIOA Grant

WIOA Grant funding is administered at a federal level by the Employment and Training Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor. The grant is under the authority of all applicable Federal statutes, regulations, and policies, including those of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the applicable approved WIOA State Plan (including approved modifications and amendments to the plan), and any waiver plan approved under WIOA Section 189(i)(3) or Workforce Flexibility (Workflex) plan approved under WIOA Section 190, the negotiated performance levels and policies established under the Secretary’s authority under WIOA Section 116, and the applicable provisions in the appropriations act(s).
