PHOENIX — The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) has awarded approximately $3.3 million in grant funding to 23 organizations throughout Arizona to support prosecution, law enforcement, courts, and community-based victim-serving organizations that address sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and dating violence.
"Arizona is committed to expanding support for ongoing activities that eliminate domestic and sexual violence statewide," said GOYFF Cabinet Executive Officer (CEO) Tonya Hamilton. "By increasing the number of funded organizations, we can strengthen trauma-informed, victim-centered services that build resilience, support survivors, and address the underlying cause of trauma from intimate partner violence and sexual assault."
The Arizona STOP Violence Against Women Grant program supports a comprehensive, system-wide approach to domestic violence and sexual assault crimes, with an emphasis on underserved populations across Arizona. During the 12-month grant cycle, awardees from urban, rural, and tribal communities are encouraged to meet the needs of victims of sexual and domestic violence through multi-disciplinary, collaborative, and victim-centered approaches.

The Arizona STOP Violence Against Women Grant is authorized under federal funds through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and administered by the U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women. By statute, awards disbursed are law enforcement, prosecution, and victim services.
