PHOENIX—The Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) has awarded $100,000 to four Arizona organizations to support child abuse and neglect prevention programs and child and family advocacy centers. The funding will provide trauma-informed, family-centered, and evidence-based support to victims of child abuse and neglect in urban, rural, and tribal communities across the state.
“I appreciate the ongoing efforts of community-based organizations that advocate for children’s well-being and family strengthening across our state,” said GOYFF Cabinet Executive Officer (CEO) Tonya Hamilton. “I look forward to seeing the impact of these funds as we expand support for trauma-informed systems for children, aiming to reduce adverse childhood experiences and mitigate the effects of early childhood trauma.”
“Expanding safe and equitable access to critical services to ensure Arizona families thrive is a top priority for Arizona,” said Governor Katie Hobbs. “The funding awarded by the Office of Youth, Faith and Family will aid in meeting the needs of our most vulnerable populations to build stronger, healthier Arizona communities.”

The Child Abuse Prevention and Advocacy License Plate grant is funded by the Arizona Department of Transportation Child Abuse Prevention Specialty License Plate funds.
