Applications Open for 2024-2025 Governor’s Youth Commission

April 1, 2024

The Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) invites applications from sophomores, juniors, and seniors attending Arizona high schools to serve on the Governor’s Youth Commission (GYC) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The commission aims to promote healthier communities through youth volunteerism and service learning, raise awareness of the most significant issues affecting their community, and encourage civic participation. This helps create a brighter future for Arizona by empowering generations of civically engaged and service-oriented leaders.

The GYC comprises 40-50 sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all 15 counties, with two or three members representing 14 of the 15 counties outside Maricopa County selected each year to serve on the commission. The rest of the members reside in Maricopa County. The selection process is competitive, and interested applicants are encouraged to read the GYC Information Packet before submitting their applications.

Deadline to apply: May 31, 2024, at 5:00 PM (MST)
