Applications for the AmeriCorps State Formula Grant (RFGA#: AC-VSG-21-090121-00) are now being accepted. Approximately $3 million will be awarded to programs throughout Arizona to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions/practices that extend organizational capacity to address critical community needs in one of six AmeriCorps focus areas: disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and services for veterans and military families. Organizations awarded AmeriCorps funding will be responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision, and management of AmeriCorps members.
The grant, with a maximum annual award of $500,000 per grantee, is twice renewable for a combined term of 3 years. The grant application will close at 12 midnight on March 26, 2021. The Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) invites grant applications from Arizona entities that include 501(c)(3) organizations; Institutions of higher education; Local governments; State agencies; and Arizona Tribal Nations, Tribal Coalitions, and Tribal Communities.

The funds awarded under this Request for Grant Application (RFGA) are federal funds allocated to GOYFF and were made available by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), dba AmeriCorps. The grant is pursuant to the authority of the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act (42 U.S.C. §12501 et seq.) and the implementing regulations at 45 C.F.R. Chapter XXV and is subject to the requirements, terms and regulations of this statute.
